Microsoft announces the Surface Pro 3 Tablet PC
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a Surface-series Windows 8.1 tablet (sometimes being referred to as laplet) produced by Microsoft. It was announced on May 20, 2014, at a New York City event, and the first models were released on June 20, 2014 in the U.S. and Canada. The Surface Pro 3 will be launched in 25 additional markets on August 28th.
The Surface Pro 3 is bigger than its predecessor the Surface 2 Pro (10.1''), with a 12-inch display, but at the same time is both thinner and lighter. It comes with an improved high friction kickstand, capable of opening up to 150 degrees.New accessories include a redesigned type cover and a battery-powered Bluetooth Active pen. The battery life can support up to 9 hours of web browsing, and can last up to 1 year in sleep mode.

The Surface Pro 3 is built on the 4th generation Intel Core processor with TPM chip for enterprise security. There are five configurations available

- Intel Core i5, HD 4400 Graphics, 4 GB RAM with 128 GB SSH D
- Intel Core i5, HD 4400 Graphics, 8 GB RAM with 256 GB SSH D
- Intel Core i7, HD 5000 Graphics, 8 GB RAM with 256 GB SSH D
- Intel Core i7, HD 5000 Graphics, 8 GB RAM with 512 GB SSH D
